Care for Piano...

Today.. The lady who came in to fine tune the piano gave me a piece of shocking news. That the piano had some kind of bugs inside and the bugs were eating up the felt part of the piano. This would cause some of the keys to be rather shaky and loose and in the long run, the keys would lose their 'bounce'.

Oh.. And she told me it was a common problem. She said this was the fourth case she had this week. Sounds like a 'piano doctor' to me. She then vacuumed the piano and applied some chemicals to prevent the bugs from attacking the felt portions any further. She also replaced some of the felt parts which were no longer visible (imagine the power of the bugs).

Even though the problem was solved, I just want everyone to know that it is important to bring ya piano for a 'checkup' everyone few months. Maybe not bring, but ask the 'doctor' over for a visit once in a while. At least to fine tune your piano. Do it before the problem gets really buggy...

Exams!!!!

Hmmm.. only after a lot of students start 'disappearing' then it dawned upon me that all their exams are here!!!

Hmmm... So here.. I would like to wish all the students here all the best for their major exams. And some expectations on my part. Hahaha.. but dun feel too pressured eh!!!

Amos Ang, I expect you to get at least 2 As and 1 B for the amount of time you have spent in studying.. Hahaha.. Please try to cut down a little bit on your football watching even though i understand it's hard. Cos i have never succeeded in doing so. Muahahahaha!!!!

Pristine.. Dun get too stressed.. Shall not stress ya.. but i know what i can expect from ya. Aja Aja!!!

Lilian.. 8 points or less. I expect a 6 but you said English a little hard. So I am giving you some leeway on that. Hahaha.. but yes.. 8 points or less!!

Clara.. err.. 6 points. Dun bother to ask me why. But I think you can do it.

Augustine... hahahah.. actually u are the only one i have not seen doing any form of work in TAOM. But i think it shouldnt be a problem.

Bram.. I know you are probably somewhere through your N levels already. So I hope you will be able to do very well!!

After all these is over, we should probably go for a Team AOM getaway!!! So see you soon guys!! And to rest of Team AOM.. all the best for your future endeavours!!!

Start of a Journey..

Sometimes in life, even after you have tried your very best, things still do not turn out the way you want it to because of some reasons. Charlene, I know you have been disappointed with whatever that has happened especially knowing the real reasons behind, but do take in your stride.

Like I have said, champions are the ones who would picked themselves everytime they suffer a fall. To me, the competition is not the end, but a start of a new journey. A new journey to become better and stronger than who you are now. Make those people who din think you were good eat humble pie. And this new journey, like any other journey, Team AOM will be there for you.

Like last sunday, Amos Ang sacrificed his Man Utd match to support you. Clara had to risk incurring her mum's wrath and forgoing a few hours of studies just to be there for you. U know you will always have Celine Lao Shi's and mine support. And in that competition, you actually gained a new friend in Sugianto. I am sure you were surprised to see him there rooting for you.
Not to mention Ben, Tiffy, 'Huang De', Yi Song, Minru, Sylvia and many others from Team AOM.

And Tiffy... i din forget you. I was just really busy these few weeks restructuring the school. I wanna congratulate you again on becoming NP Idol and doing Team AOM proud!! I am really really proud of you!! I am sure you had loads of fun and laughter during that journey. I can still remember when u first started learning from me, I had to ban you from listening to Yanzi's songs for 1 whole year. May you continue to grow stronger.. and knowing you.. it is definitely possible. Looking at this results, I can start implementing bans to more people to encourage them to improve their singing habits. Hahaha..

To the rest of Team AOM, all your dreams are still possibly within reach. Take up the courage and embark on that journey. But you know, you will not be doing alone.

Love

Charlene All the Way!!!

Wow.. Time flies. It's been one year since Amos Ang lifted that Teenage Icon 2005 trophy. I just spoke to Jemima on MSN and she said she's all excited that Teenage Icon final is back here again. Yes, looking back, i can still clearly remember the euphoria surrounding Amos lifting the trophy.

Tomorrow will be the final of Teenage Icon 2006. I hope Charlene will be able to unleash her true potential for all to see. On behalf of Team AOM, I wish her all the best in the final!! Go girl!! You can do it!!!

Fun Performing Group Session!!

I hope the students enjoy their performing group session last night. I enjoyed it a lot and I hope it gave students the chance to showcase their talents not only to other students in the school but outsiders as well.

Project Superstar finalists Sugianto and Ruth Chua popped by for a visit and gave the students some pointers and shared their experience on stage. It also gave students the chance to understand different perspectives of their own performance.

I think I ought to give Paula some praise here. She really handled herself well in the performance yesterday and really justified my decision to place her in the performing group. Stanley Lao Shi also thought that she was really hardworking. Good job girl!!

Performing group will continue to be this fun and enriching every week. So everybody continue to have fun!!!!
