Care for Piano...
Today.. The lady who came in to fine tune the piano gave me a piece of shocking news. That the piano had some kind of bugs inside and the bugs were eating up the felt part of the piano. This would cause some of the keys to be rather shaky and loose and in the long run, the keys would lose their 'bounce'.
Oh.. And she told me it was a common problem. She said this was the fourth case she had this week. Sounds like a 'piano doctor' to me. She then vacuumed the piano and applied some chemicals to prevent the bugs from attacking the felt portions any further. She also replaced some of the felt parts which were no longer visible (imagine the power of the bugs).
Even though the problem was solved, I just want everyone to know that it is important to bring ya piano for a 'checkup' everyone few months. Maybe not bring, but ask the 'doctor' over for a visit once in a while. At least to fine tune your piano. Do it before the problem gets really buggy...
